In 2019, supported by Heritage Fund and National Lottery players, the Newham Chinese Association (NCA) started an oral history project entitled Chinese Fortunes to recover and document stories told by older Chinese residents. The aim is to create a small collection of archives in a bid to generate heritage interest amongst young people, as well as to serve as reference for the general public at large.
二零一九年，在遺產基金和國家彩票博彩者的支持下，紐咸華人協會啟動了名為《華人的財富》的口述歷史項目，以便發掘和和收集當地華人以往親歷的故事，記錄他們的經歷、成就和期望。項目的目的是建立一個小規模資訊庫，並通過這次活動以激發年輕人對遺產傳承的興趣，為公眾提供必要的參考資料。

Funded by Heritage Fund and National Lottery players, Chinese Fortunes Oral History Project was ran by the Newham Chinese Association between 2019 and 2021, supported by the Eastside Community Heritage (ECH) and student volunteers from various UK Universities including Loughborough University (London), Translation Department (UCL), University of Westminster and University of East London.
